Qualifications

We don't like surprises. Before running the background check or credit history we ask that you tell us in advance if you have anything that may be alarming. For example, if you had an issue where you couldn't repay your debts for awhile and it harmed your credit, let us know in advance. We can generally tell from that if it is or isn't something that would be acceptable. Perhaps you were convicted of a crime as a young adult but have been good going forward – just be up front and honest. Depending on the situation, it may not be a problem. Not telling us in advance can be a problem.

• Honesty in communications.
• Behavior that is not socially unacceptable or challenging.
• Proof of income twice that of rent.
• Nothing alarming in the background check.
• Credit score and history is acceptable.
• No history of evictions.

This is not a pass fail. All of these items are looked at in combination to understand you as a person. We believe in second chances. If you had a run in with the law, dropped the ball on financial obligations, or were evicted tell us up front. Most situations are not going to exclude you from renting from us.
